Description:
"You have learned about how to create wonderful photographs, and many of you have created your own distinct style. Now it's your mission to continue your growth as a photographer and artist by allowing someone else's work, processes, and knowledge to influence your own style."
Questions: How has that photographer influenced you and your work?
What makes this an interesting WebQuest
- Very simple task generates stylistic understanding and assesses through performance.
- Choosing links from one source is a quick way to go, but beware of losing the source to 404s or copyright issues (and pop-up windows!).
- A good example of how a short assignment can generate a lot of higher-order learning. Using an assessment guide or asking students to defend their works in light of the influencing photographer could ensure this happens.
- Open-ended nature encourages student self-motivation and expression.
